Trio GoyaBenefit concert for 19 Princelet Street
31 March 2005 – 7:30pm
Tickets £15 (concs. £10) Leighton House Museum, 12 Holland Park Road, London W14 8LZ TRIO GOYA, recently formed by leading harpsichordist and fortepianist Maggie Cole with Kati Debretzeni on violin and Sebastian Comberti on cello, will perform a concert of music by Haydn and Beethoven and donate the proceeds to support the invaluable work done by 19 Princelet Street - The Museum of Immigration. Tickets for this special event - which includes a wonderful opportunity to
explore Leighton House - must be booked in advance. “The performer at the centre of this concert was the splendid
British-American fortepianist Maggie Cole. In her hands, the delicacy
of the fortepiano is no impediment to the power, even muscularity,
of the music written for it. She combines a marvellous technique
with superb musical instincts and good taste.”
